The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HUG) announced on the 19th that it will begin recruiting residents for the 7th round of the Dwellings Jeonse housing program starting from the 25th.

This 7th round will provide a total of 600 units, which is a 20% increase compared to the previous round, in metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Incheon, and Bucheon. HUG has conducted recruitment announcements for 950 units over six rounds since July of last year, recording a maximum competition rate of 4,087 to 1 and an average competition rate of 109 to 1, indicating significant popularity.

The Dwellings Jeonse housing program is a project where HUG purchases dwellings for which it guarantees the jeonse deposit and supplies them as public rental housing to households without homes.

Tenants can live without worry about the return of the jeonse deposit since HUG is the landlord, and they can enjoy stable residence for up to eight years with a deposit that is approximately 90% of the surrounding market price.

Those wishing to move in can apply online through the 'HUG Safe Jeonse Portal' (https://khug.or.kr/jeonse) from the 25th to July 7th, and HUG plans to announce the final winners on September 18th after verifying eligibility requirements, such as housing status.
