Daewoo E&C announced on the 16th that it has been selected as the construction company at the general meeting for the reconstruction project of the Gangnam Wonhyo Villa held on the 14th.
This project involves the construction of 132 housing units and community facilities within 11 buildings spanning 6 underground levels to 4 aboveground levels, on 7 lots including 591-1 Banpo-dong in Seocho-gu, Seoul, with a construction cost of 338.7 billion won (excluding VAT). The construction cost per 3.3 square meters is 15.5 million won, which is higher than the recently selected construction company in Hannam District 4 (approximately 9.4 million won).
Daewoo E&C proposed 'Trana (TRANA) Seorae' as the new name for the Gangnam Wonhyo Villa. Trana means 'sanctuary' and symbolizes a new format of residential living that goes beyond apartments with enhanced privacy and vitality.
A representative from Daewoo E&C noted, 'Over the past three years, we have researched new values in 'homes' that reflect contemporary trends and technological advancements, together with the best creators.' They added, 'In particular, Trana Seorae represents a premium residential complex of between 100 and 300 units, a rarity in Korea, embodying the values sought in top-tier residences in New York, London, and Tokyo.'
First, Trana Seorae will be restructured into a flat-like complex, minimizing the existing 40-meter elevation difference. This is intended to maximize the convenience of residents' movement while separating it from surrounding complexes. The existing villa's characteristics, which embrace nature, will be enhanced through the introduction of the concept of 'green sequence' within the complex. The aim is to realize a 'landscape of experience' that connects nature from the exterior to the terrace of each home.
To maximize the privacy prioritized in high-end housing both domestically and internationally, Trana Seorae incorporates the concept of 'multi-family housing akin to single-family homes.' For example, it will feature a garage parking system that secures privacy from the moment of entering the complex, along with dedicated elevators by line and individual elevator halls for each unit.
Trana Seorae boasts an enhanced sense of openness. Units are designed to have more than two sides open at 100%. Units with more than three sides open also account for 50%.
The amenities at Trana Seorae are designed to be of the highest domestic and international standards for the complex's symbolism. It includes sports facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, golf, fitness, Pilates, and yoga, along with a restaurant that offers breakfast service, a cinema, and a guesthouse.
It will adopt a completely differentiated approach to community facilities compared to typical apartments. Each program will be organized in a manner that allows for private use. In particular, there are plans to offer studio units averaging 20 pyeong that can be configured according to the individual needs of the residents.
