DL E&C announced on the 12th that it will hold an open innovation competition in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency, a small business support organization under the city of Seoul.
This year marks the 5th iteration of the competition, which is an open innovation program aimed at discovering startups with innovative technologies and business ideas.
Through this competition, DL E&C aims to discover new technologies and business ideas applicable to construction sites and business areas, maximizing synergies with existing businesses. Applications will be accepted through the Startup Plus website from the 13th of this month until the 4th of next month. The recruitment fields include five areas: smart construction technology, carbon-neutral technology, eco-friendly energy technology, productivity enhancement technology, and innovative ideas for the construction industry.
DL E&C plans to select promising startups through written and in-person evaluations and conduct technology verification (Proof of Concept) by applying new technologies and business projects in actual field sites with those corporations. Additionally, it will provide a technology verification support fund of 10 million won per corporation through the Seoul Business Agency and create opportunities for joint technology development and commercialization. Plans are also under consideration for ongoing collaboration and investment in continuous innovative technology development.
A DL E&C official noted, "We expect many startups with innovative technologies and fresh ideas to participate," adding, "We will discover and support promising startups to establish a mutually beneficial partnership growing together with DL E&C."
