In this volunteer activity held ahead of Memorial Day, a total of 53 Hyundai Engineering employees and their families participated to honor the noble sacrifices of the national heroes. They first visited the Memorial Tower to pay their respects and then engaged in cemetery purification activities such as laying flowers, raising the national flag, and cleaning the gravestones in Section 48.

Afterward, they reflected on the spirit of those who sacrificed for the country while visiting the National Defense Exhibition Hall and the Relics Exhibition Hall, which contain artifacts and materials about the lives of the fallen patriots.

Hyundai Engineering has been conducting cemetery purification volunteer activities regularly since signing a sisterhood agreement with the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery in 2015. So far, a total of 796 participants have been recorded over the 11 years until this year.

An employee of Hyundai Engineering who attended the volunteer event said, "Participating this year to remember the sacrifice of the fallen patriots with my children for the 80th anniversary of liberation was a valuable time to learn history and share patriotism."
