On the 2nd, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it will hold the 16th National Land Technology Competition to discover creative ideas in the fields of land and urban development.
The LH National Land Technology Competition is a contest aimed at discovering technologies and future growth engines in the land and urban sectors. It started in 2010 and has reached its 16th edition this year.
Anyone can freely participate in the contest as long as the technology can be applied to LH's land and urban sectors, regardless of the topic.
Eligibility to participate includes undergraduate and graduate students in Korea (including those on leave of absence and those expected to graduate in 2025). Anyone can join, regardless of their major. Applications can be made individually or as a team (up to 2 people), and multiple entries are not allowed.
Works can be submitted through the competition website from today until July 25.
The evaluation will proceed with a preliminary written assessment followed by a presentation. A total of 8 teams will be selected: 1 team for the grand prize, 1 team for the excellence award, 2 teams for the merit award, and 4 teams for the encouragement award, with prize money totaling 16 million won. The winners will be announced in September. LH is also expected to provide hiring benefits such as exemption from document screening and additional points in written tests based on the award grades.
Lee Sang-jo, head of the LH Smart Construction Safety Headquarters, said, "I hope many young people will show interest and participate to lead sustainable growth and future changes in the land and urban fields with new perspectives and creative ideas."
