Daewoo E&C announced on the 30th that it will participate in the reconstruction project of the WOOSUNG 7th in Gaepo, Gangnam District, Seoul, under optimal business conditions.
Daewoo E&C noted, "CEO Kim Bo-hyun will lead the entire bidding process for the reconstruction project of the WOOSUNG 7th and will mobilize the company's capabilities," adding, "As this is the first application of our high-end brand ‘SUMMIT’ since my appointment, we will present the finest residential masterpiece."
The reconstruction project of the WOOSUNG 7th is designed to transform the existing complex, which consists of 14 floors, 15 buildings, and 802 households, into a large complex of up to 35 floors and 1,122 households. The estimated total construction cost by the association is 677.8 billion won. It is considered a landmark project in Gaepo-dong due to its excellent academic district, transportation environment, and well-equipped living infrastructure.
Daewoo E&C has been preparing for a long time the design, finishes, and landscaping preferred by the members of the association to win the contract for the WOOSUNG 7th reconstruction project and is preparing the best business conditions to realize this.
Daewoo E&C is noting that the WOOSUNG 7th has a location that can become a landmark complex among the nearby reconstruction complexes in terms of education, transportation, and infrastructure.
Daewoo E&C is establishing a standard that prioritizes the position of the association members over profitability and proposes differentiated designs and overwhelming business conditions that no other company can match.
To construct the WOOSUNG 7th reconstruction project as a landmark, Daewoo E&C plans to collaborate with Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a world-renowned architect from France, to design the complex. Wilmotte has participated in some of the world’s leading buildings, including the Louvre Museum in France, the Lyon Museum of Fine Arts, and the Islamic Museum in Doha, Qatar. He has also been involved in major local landmark projects, including the Ghana Art Center in Pyeongchang-dong and Incheon International Airport.
Additionally, starting from last year, Daewoo E&C will apply the renewed SUMMIT brand to the WOOSUNG 7th reconstruction project for the first time in Gangnam. This is a strategy to lead the market with a higher-level brand and products in the high-end market.
