Asia Cement announced on the 29th that it is developing environmentally responsive special concrete technology capable of adapting to various climates and site conditions.

The special concrete being developed by Asia Cement includes ▲ cold-resistant concrete ▲ rain-resistant concrete ▲ ultra-retentive concrete.

Cold-resistant concrete is a technology that can secure design strength even in extremely cold conditions of -10℃ without additional heated curing. It can shorten construction periods and improve process efficiency by skipping the heated curing process on site. It also contributes to the prevention of safety accidents such as carbon monoxide poisoning.

Rain-resistant concrete can be used when construction needs to proceed in rainy conditions or when it is difficult to stop the concrete pouring. Special performance enhancers are used to prevent the separation of binding agents and aggregates in the concrete, depending on the level of rainfall. It is also possible to consistently secure quality regarding strength and other parameters.

Ultra-retentive concrete is a technology that can maintain the fluidity of concrete for more than three hours even in high temperature environments. This design is intended to maintain workability in cases where the transportation of ready-mixed concrete is delayed due to urban traffic congestion or in extremely hot conditions above 35℃.

Asia Cement plans to launch special concrete products in the second half of the year.

A company official noted, "We are focusing on the development of technologies that overcome environmental challenges and improve site conditions in the ready-mixed concrete institutional sector in response to changes in climate and construction environments," and added, "We plan to continuously develop and launch special concrete that can enhance the quality of construction structures."
