Hanwha Construction Division showcased the ceiling-mounted electric vehicle (EV) charging system "EV Air Station" in collaboration with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) at the 21st Fire Safety Expo held at EXCO in Daegu on the 28th.
The EV Air Station significantly enhances space efficiency and convenience, allowing up to three vehicles to charge simultaneously through a single charger.
The product introduced this time incorporates "triple fire prevention technology." It has maximized fire prevention performance through ▲ combustible gas detection, ▲ battery control power line communication (PLC), and ▲ artificial intelligence (AI) camera fire detection technology. Additionally, it is equipped with a safety device that automatically stops charging when a certain weight is detected.
LH plans to pilot the EV Air Station in residential complexes to achieve the goal of "zero" electric vehicle fires.
Kim Min-seok, head of the architectural division at Hanwha Construction, said, "The EV Air Station is an electric vehicle charging solution based on advanced triple fire prevention technology," adding, "We also plan to reveal the underground parking lot fire suppression technology that we are currently developing."
