Hyundai L&C unveiled new products aimed at local trends in Europe at the world's largest furniture materials exhibition.
Hyundai Department Store Group's comprehensive building materials corporation Hyundai L&C recently participated in 'Interzum 2025,' held in Cologne, Germany, it noted on the 25th. Interzum is the world's largest furniture materials exhibition held every two years. This year, 1,600 building materials and furniture and interior companies from around the world participated.
Hyundai L&C introduced a newly developed molding PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film at this exhibition. This film is specialized for 'molding' processing, which applies heat to ensure it closely adheres to curved surfaces when wrapping furniture and the like. It has been evaluated as an optimized product for 'zero edge', able to wrap entire furniture at once, to the corners without seams. Zero edge refers to a construction method with a clean finish where seams at the corners are invisible.
Hyundai L&C also showcased its new furniture film products including 'Metal,' 'Emboss,' and 'Pearl.' Additionally, they introduced functional products that are resistant to fingerprints and scratches, as well as environmentally friendly recycled PET films.
They also unveiled new products from the artificial marble brand Hanex, including 'Urban Shard,' 'Calacatta Glory,' and 'Black Desert.' Urban Shard is an upcycled product made from crushed materials generated during the Hanex production process, with a recycled raw material content of 20%.
A Hyundai L&C official said, 'We are actively developing new products aimed at the European market, where the demand for environmentally friendly and functional products is high, and are expanding our technology and product range by incorporating molding processing techniques into eco-friendly films.' He added, 'We plan to continuously expand our sales network and product portfolio to increase our market share in the European furniture film and artificial marble markets.'
