POSCO E&C has been selected as the contractor for a remodeling project of the Isu Geukdong-WOOSUNG 2 and 3 complexes in Sadang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, with a construction cost of 2 trillion won.
POSCO E&C noted on the 25th that it was finally selected as the contractor at the general meeting of the remodeling project association held on the 24th.
The project involves remodeling by integrating Isu Geukdong Complex 1 (1,550 households), WOOSUNG Complex 2 (1,080 households), and WOOSUNG Complex 3 (855 households). It is considered the largest remodeling project in Seoul.
Through this project, the existing buildings will transform from 2 floors underground and 20 floors above ground, with 3,485 units, to 6 floors underground and 27 floors above ground, totaling 3,987 units. The additional 502 units will be sold to the public.
After two years of preparation, POSCO E&C has included proposals for improving the slope within the complex, demolishing retaining walls, and optimal underground design plans.
The name of the complex has been suggested as 'The Sharp Isu Station ELPLENO,' using the Spanish term for 'perfection' (PLENO).
All existing above-ground parking lots will be converted underground. The total number of parking spaces will increase from 2,233 (0.64 per household) to 5,584 (1.4 per household), about 2.5 times more.
With this contract, the total accumulated order amount for remodeling projects at POSCO E&C has increased to 13.3 trillion won. Completed projects among those undertaken by POSCO E&C include Gaepo The Sharp Trie, The Sharp Dunchon Forest, and Jamsil The Sharp Ruben. Construction is ongoing at Bundang Mujigae Village Complex 4 and Neuti Village Complexes 3 and 4.
