GS Engineering and Construction announced on the 19th that its wooden modular (prefabricated) building subsidiary, XiGEIST, conducted a tour program for 22 public officials from 15 countries at its factory in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province.

The tour participants are foreign public officials attending the master's program in "Urban Development and Smart Infrastructure Policy" established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to strengthen urban development cooperation with the University of Seoul. They visited XiGEIST's production facility in Dangjin on the 16th, where they received an introduction to modular dwelling technology, production processes, and ways to utilize eco-friendly materials, and they toured the facility.

A representative from XiGEIST noted, "This tour will be a good opportunity to showcase the excellence of Korean construction technology to the world," and added, "We will actively participate in expanding sustainable housing solutions and global partnerships in the future."
