Hyundai E&C has strengthened its enterprise-wide disaster prevention system and initiated site-focused safety and quality management activities.
Hyundai E&C announced on the 19th that it held a launch ceremony for the official debut of the '365 Safety Patrol Team' at the 'D.H. Clast' site on the 16th to enhance its disaster prevention system.
The launch ceremony was attended by key executives and site officials, including Hyung Jun-ha, Chief Safety Officer (CSO) of Hyundai E&C, who shared operational policies and goals and committed to raising safety awareness on-site.
The 365 Safety Patrol Team is a dedicated organization composed mainly of specialized safety management personnel. It was established to conduct unannounced safety inspections across all sites without prior notice to proactively eliminate hazards and prevent accidents in the workplace.
During safety inspections at the site, those workers identified engaging in unsafe behavior will be immediately expelled from work under the 'Immediate Withdrawal System' (OUT SYSTEM). If unsafe working conditions are found, the 'Right to Stop Work' will be activated to take immediate corrective actions on-site. The plan aims to induce workers to strictly comply with safety regulations through a strong field response system and encourage a culture of self-autonomous safety management led by partner companies.
In addition to the operation of the Safety Patrol Team, Hyundai E&C is enhancing its safety capabilities through various measures, including ▲building a smart safety system based on the latest technology ▲strengthening training in on-site safety leadership ▲implementing safety support programs for partner companies.
A representative of Hyundai E&C said, 'We will further strengthen pre-checks centering on the newly launched Safety Patrol Team and establish a more precise and systematic safety management system,' adding that 'we will reinforce proactive and continuous site-centered activities to ensure that on-site members can autonomously identify and respond to hazards, fostering a self-regulating safety culture.'
