Hanwha Corporation and the Hoban Construction consortium (hereinafter referred to as the H Project Group) announced on the 18th that they have won the public redevelopment project for the Shinwol 7-dong 2 district. The residents' representative meeting for the Shinwol 7-dong 2 district held a full meeting for landowners on the 17th and selected the H Project Group as the construction company.
The Shinwol 7-dong 2 district is a public redevelopment project in which the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) participates as the implementing company. The project site is located at 941 Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, with an area of 98,295 square meters (approximately 29,734 pyeong). The total construction cost is about 660 billion won, with plans to build 19 apartment buildings (totaling 2,245 units) rising 14 stories above ground and 5 stories below ground, along with auxiliary welfare facilities.
The H Project Group proposed a specialized design plan that increases the number of units from the original 2,228 units to 2,245 units to maximize development profits and enhance both the living convenience and the marketability of the complex.
It will apply a resort-style courtyard design that features 13 themed parks and will maximize the number of flat units. The choice range has been widened from the original 5 types of units to 9 specialized types, with about 95% of all units facing south.
The plan is to present a sophisticated and elegant exterior design through aluminum panel art walls and patterned facade designs. It also proposed a community design that considers the lifestyles of residents by placing community facilities along public walkways.
A representative of the H Project Group said, "Based on the technical capabilities and construction experience held by Hanwha Corporation and Hoban Construction, we will complete the public redevelopment of the Shinwol 7-dong 2 district into the best landmark in the southwestern part of Seoul."
