Last month, the average sale price of private apartments nationwide slightly increased compared to the previous month.
According to the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) on the 15th, as of the end of April, the average sale price per square meter of private apartments nationwide (based on supply area) was 5.755 million won, up 0.62% from the previous month. The monthly average sale price is the average sale price of private sales projects for which sale guarantees were issued over the previous 12 months prior to the announcement.
The average sale price in Seoul was 13.763 million won, an increase of 2.75% from the previous month. The overall price in the metropolitan area was 8.752 million won, up 1.97%.
The five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City saw a decrease to 5.629 million won, down 0.29%, while other regions increased to 4.727 million won, up 0.50%.
Converting the sale price in Seoul to 3.3 square meters (one pyeong), it amounts to 45.418 million won.
The volume of newly sold private apartments nationwide was 15,210 units, more than double compared to the previous month (6,590 units). The volume in the metropolitan area increased to 12,119 units from last month (2,346 units), accounting for about 79.7% of the total. In Seoul, there were no sales in the previous month, but it increased to 1,156 units in April.
During the same period, the five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City increased from 400 units to 1,842 units, while other regions decreased from 3,844 units to 1,249 units.
