A total of 741 units (336 public rental dwellings) of apartments, including long-term lease housing near the station, will be constructed in the area around 46 Cheongpa-dong 1-ga, Yongsan District, Seoul.
On the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government held the 7th Urban Planning Committee meeting and on the 8th, announced that it has amended and approved the urban maintenance-type redevelopment project plan and designation of the maintenance area for the construction of long-term lease housing near the station in the area around 46 Cheongpa-dong 1-ga, Yongsan District.
The site is located near the Seoul Station area of Subway Line 1 and Line 4, and the Airport Railroad. The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to create a new urban environment around Seoul Station by connecting it with the housing maintenance-type redevelopment projects determined through rapid integration planning at '33 Seogye-dong' and 'Cheongpa District 2' to improve the poor residential environment.
To this end, the Seoul Metropolitan Government designated a new maintenance area of 19,771.5 square meters. A total of 741 units (336 public rental dwellings) will be constructed in eight apartment buildings on a land area of 15,341 square meters, ranging from 5 underground floors to 29 above-ground floors (with a maximum height of less than 95 meters). Among them, 189 units are planned to be supplied as long-term lease housing near the station (including 'Mirilnae House').
The maintenance plan established land formation, transportation system establishment, and plans for various mixed-use and open spaces with the goal of creating a 'communicative hilly urban residential complex' through the linkage with surrounding rapid integration planning projects and the complex development along Cheongpa-ro.
A Seoul Metropolitan Government official noted, 'With the establishment of the maintenance plan and designation of the maintenance area for the long-term lease housing urban maintenance-type redevelopment project near Seoul Station (around 46 Cheongpa-dong 1-ga), it is expected that a new urban residential complex will be created through the supply of high-quality long-term lease housing and the introduction of office facilities behind Seoul Station.'
