The Construction Association of Korea announced on the 7th that newly appointed vice presidents and board members held their first meeting at the Construction Hall in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The newly appointed vice president and board members include Lee Han-woo, representative of Hyundai E&C; Jung Won-joo, chairman of Daewoo E&C; Park Sang-sin, representative of KOLON GLOBAL; Kim Seung-mo, representative of Hanwha; Park Cheol-hee, representative of Hoban Construction; Kim Jeong-il, representative of KOLON; Jo Wan-seok, representative of Kumho Engineering & Construction; and Yoon Jin-oh, representative of Dongbu Corporation.

Among the existing board members, Choi Gil-hak, chairman of Seorim General Construction in South Chungcheong-Sejong; Choi Tae-jin, chairman of Hyeondo General Construction in Seoul; Jeong Hyeong-yeol, chairman of Taelim General Construction in Busan; and Joae-cheol, chairman of Janghan General Construction in North Jeolla, were elected as vice presidents.

Park Kyung-jae, representative of Sangsan Construction, who was elected as chairman of Jeollanam-do last month on the 3rd, was elected as a board member.

Han Seung-gu, chairman of the association, noted, “The construction industry is facing various difficulties due to the expansion of uncertainties both domestically and abroad, along with a prolonged downturn in the construction market. At times like this, I hope that members, vice presidents, and board members take the lead in uniting the industry and contribute to overcoming the crisis in the construction industry.”
