KCC participated in the world's largest power electronics exhibition, 'PCIM Europe 2025,' to showcase its power semiconductor material technology.

PCIM Europe is an international event that connects experts from academia and industry engaged in products and research and development in the fields of power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management.

Until this month 8th, the exhibition held in Nuremberg, Germany, features KCC showcasing essential materials such as ceramic substrates suitable for high-power semiconductor packages and modules for electric vehicles and industrial use, EMC, and thermal silicone.

This exhibition also featured Momentive, KCC's subsidiary and one of the world's top three silicone corporations. The two companies are solidifying their position as a total solutions provider for semiconductor packages by integrating ceramic substrates and EMC materials applicable to high-power semiconductors and power modules.

KCC's flagship product, the AMB (Active Metal Brazing) ceramic substrate, enhances the bonding strength between copper circuits and ceramics, providing optimized performance for high-power semiconductors. AMB is widely used in electric vehicle (EV) inverters and high-power power module fields. KCC's products are receiving positive reactions from major global clients due to their excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength.

Additionally, KCC presented a range of ceramic materials, including DCB (Direct Copper Bonding) substrates suitable for industrial power modules. DCB is primarily used in various power conversion devices such as inverters for industrial equipment and home appliances.

EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound, semiconductor sealing material), which is in increasing demand due to the high performance of power semiconductors, was also introduced as a noteworthy product.

Momentive showcased high-performance silicone products applicable across the power semiconductor and electric mobility industries, focusing on silicone gel for power modules.

KCC is set to actively respond to the demand for advanced materials in the semiconductor industry by officially unveiling a fusion total solution that combines semiconductor materials with Momentive's silicone technology on the global stage at this exhibition.

A company representative noted, "KCC continues to provide innovative solutions based on advanced semiconductor materials and silicone technology in line with the rapid growth of the electric vehicle and renewable energy industries," and added, "Through this exhibition, we will further solidify our position in the global materials market while enhancing our vision as a corporation that offers a unique total solution combining silicone and semiconductor materials."
