The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will provide 184.4 billion won to support the recovery of the homes of disaster victims affected by the large-scale wildfire in the Yeongnam region last March. It will provide low-interest (annual 1.5%) disaster housing recovery funds (totaling 24.4 billion won, 400 units) using the housing & urban fund, and supply newly constructed rental housing for disaster victims (totaling 152 billion won, 1,000 units). Additionally, a special urban regeneration project to rebuild the villages lost to the wildfire will be carried out (8 billion won).

A budget of 24 billion won will be allocated to restore damaged road slopes due to the wildfire, and plans to enhance wildfire response capabilities through the introduction of specialized firefighting drones and localization (7 billion won) will also utilize this budget.

In addition, 28.9 billion won will be allocated to strengthen aviation safety and support victims of passenger plane disasters. A total of 27.5 billion won will be invested to prevent large-scale aviation accidents from recurring. Safety facilities at airports will be significantly expanded (24.5 billion won), including bird detection radars (6 locations), runway incursion prevention systems (EMAS, 4 locations), and improvements to security facilities (6 locations), and a bird response drone will be developed (3 billion won) for ensuring navigation safety.

The project will support the daily recovery of victims, including holding memorial services for the first anniversary of passenger plane disasters and raising public awareness of aviation safety (1.4 billion won).

To strengthen safety in living environments, including sinkhole prevention, 78 billion won will be used. Local governments will be supported with ground exploration funds (4.4 billion won), and local governments lacking funds will have the National Land Safety Management Agency perform ground explorations directly (900 million won). Furthermore, the project will initiate the enhancement of an integrated underground map, analyzing ground subsidence safety levels by adding soft ground information and subsidence history (1.2 billion won).

To strengthen safety on construction sites, 1.3 billion won will be invested in identifying causes of construction machinery accidents and preparing countermeasures, along with road pavement repairs (502.6 km, 68 billion won), slope safety management (1 billion won), and improving fire safety performance of existing buildings (92 units, 1.2 billion won) to prevent safety accidents in daily life.

A budget of 812.9 billion won is planned to support livelihood initiatives, including the recovery of the construction economy and enhancing transportation convenience.

To stimulate the construction economy, 812.2 billion won will be invested in the SOC sector. Funding for rental housing supply will total 488.8 billion won, including newly constructed rental (338.8 billion won) and publicly supported private rentals (150 billion won), along with budgets of 93.1 billion won for road construction and maintenance and 230.3 billion won for railway construction and maintenance.

Meanwhile, the government will also expand the semi-public operating system for metropolitan buses (12 routes, 700 million won) to enhance public transportation convenience for residents in large urban areas.
