Hyundai E&C stated that it has launched a relay campaign to prevent falls at construction sites and has started safety management activities.
Hyundai E&C reported that on the 25th, it conducted a "relay campaign for fall accident prevention and safety culture dissemination at construction sites" at the Hyundai Hi-Tech Center in the Yeongtong District of Suwon.
This campaign was established as part of the "fall accident prevention measures" led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, aiming to reduce fall accidents at construction sites. Hyundai E&C designated the period from the 21st to the 25th as the "special emphasis week on prevention" and carried out various activities to prevent fall accidents and eradicate serious disasters at all its business sites.
On the day of the event, Lee Han-woo, CEO of Hyundai E&C, visited the site personally to closely inspect safety facilities and working conditions, while emphasizing the importance of safety to employees and encouraging active interest and voluntary participation, Hyundai E&C explained.
Hyundai E&C installed banners to prevent fall accidents at all its construction sites and attached "safety real name system signs" in high-risk work areas to clearly indicate the responsible person for each task, thereby raising safety awareness among workers and encouraging compliance with safety regulations, while also strengthening the responsibility system at each site.
Meanwhile, Hyundai E&C explained that it has continued site-centered safety management activities since the beginning of this year, with key executives including Hwang Jun-ha, Chief Strategy Officer, visiting each site to directly inspect working conditions, and it is also striving to spread a safety culture through various systems and training for workers.
Hyundai E&C has introduced QR codes on entry and exit signs of all work sites to allow onsite workers to easily access fall prevention training materials through smart devices, and is providing information on risk factors related to daily tasks to all workers using the mobile platform "H Safety Wallet," thus implementing effective safety education for both actual accident cases and preventive measures.
A Hyundai E&C official noted, "Through this campaign, we are fostering awareness of fall accidents and continuing practical efforts for the establishment of a company-wide safety culture," adding, "We will enhance the fundamental safety level of construction sites through systematic and effective measures such as the advancement of education utilizing mobile platforms and the introduction of a safety real name system."
