HDC Hyundai Development Company and POSCO are competing for the redevelopment of the Yongsan maintenance depot area, and on the 24th, CEO Jeong Kyung-gu of HDC Hyundai Development Company and other executives visited the construction site.
During his visit to the construction site, CEO Jeong noted, "Yongsan is not just a business site for HDC Hyundai Development Company, but a foundation built on trust and experience accumulated over a long period of time," adding, "We will concentrate all the capabilities of HDC Hyundai Development Company on this first area to provide practical benefits that members can truly feel."
He continued, "HDC knows the area around Yongsan Station better than anyone, based on numerous successful development experiences such as I-Park Mall, the railroad hospital site, and underground parks," and stated, "We will create HDC Town to generate synergy and provide benefits that members can feel directly while ensuring stable project promotion."
The first area of the Yongsan maintenance depot covers approximately 71,900.8 square meters in the Hangangro 3-ga area of Yongsan District, applying a building coverage ratio of 59% and a floor area ratio of less than 800%, with a complex development project consisting of 12 residential buildings with 777 units and 894 officetels, as well as commercial and business facilities, rising 6 stories underground and 38 stories above. The association's estimated total construction cost is about 955.8 billion won.
HDC Hyundai Development Company has confirmed the project name as "THE LINE 330" and has entered the bidding. Previously, it expressed its ambition to collaborate with SMDP (architectural design), LERA (structural design), Samsung C&T (landscaping), CBRE (commercial real estate consulting), LPA (landscape lighting), and Park Hyatt to realize a landmark for Seoul that goes beyond Yongsan and maximize sales revenue to connect additional profits for the members.
