The Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 25th that it will recruit residents for 354 units of happy housing, including the Goduk Onbitchae.

The announcement for resident recruitment will be posted on the SH Corporation's website at 4 p.m. on the same day.

Happy housing is a public rental housing program that provides housing to youth, newlyweds, and the elderly at 60% to 80% of the market price. University students and young people can reside for 10 years, newlyweds with children for 14 years, and the elderly for up to 20 years.

This time, only the re-supply of the Goduk Onbitchae happy housing will be offered, targeting the remaining 192 vacancies and 162 reserve residents.

The average deposit and rent by dwelling area are ▲ deposit of 76.45 million won and rent of 290,000 won for units with a net area of 29 square meters or less, ▲ deposit of 129.81 million won and rent of 490,000 won for units with a net area of 39 square meters or less, and ▲ deposit of 177.6 million won and rent of 640,000 won for units with a net area of 43 square meters or less.

Existing happy housing residents can freely reapply for other happy housing options, provided they are still within the same target group. However, this is subject to the maximum residency limits for each target group based on the total residency period.

From this recruitment process, applicants with children under 2 years old (born after April 25, 2023) will be prioritized in the selection of priority supply candidates. This prioritization applies only when selecting candidates for priority supply. If the number of priority supply applicants with children under 2 exceeds the number of candidates for document review and winners, a random draw will take place.

Eligibility for residents is limited to members of non-homeowner households with a monthly average income per household no more than 100% of the previous year's average income for urban workers, total household assets not exceeding 337 million won, and the value of owned vehicles not exceeding 38.03 million won. These criteria may vary by target group, and further details can be verified in the announcement.

Applications will be accepted from May 7 to May 9 through the SH website for internet applications. However, those who cannot apply online, such as the elderly and disabled, can visit the corporation on the 9th to apply in person.

Candidates for document review will be announced on the 19th of the same month, and winners will be announced on August 29, with occupancy available starting in October of this year. However, the planned move-in date may vary by complex, and the planned move-in date for reserve residents will be individually notified.

Detailed application schedules, including site layouts and floor plans, as well as information on the internet application method, can be found at the SH Corporation call center and the SH internet application system.
