A large complex with 1,240 dwellings will be built in the area of Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, which was the site of the former Seongdong Prison.

The complex will consist of 16 buildings, rising from 3 underground levels to 22 stories above ground, supplying 241 dwellings in Complex 1 and 999 dwellings in Complex 2. The unit types will include highly favored exclusive sizes of 50㎡, 59㎡, and 84㎡. Some of these will include the long-term rental 'Miril Home' for newlyweds.

The complex will enhance openness by expanding public pedestrian pathways that promote consolidation between interiors and exteriors, and will provide community facilities and neighborhood amenities in the lower floors.

Plans include the establishment of various community facilities such as a fitness center, a small library, a shared dining room, a care center, and a daycare center, connecting them with gardens.

Creating a community space centered on multifunctional cultural facilities is expected to enhance convenience not only for residents but also for local inhabitants, becoming a hub that injects new vitality into the area.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to push forward with the approval of changes to the housing construction project and the commencement of construction this year, targeting completion in the second half of 2028.
