The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) has accidentally leaked the information of over 1,100 customers through its rental and subscription application site "Subscription Plus."

According to the LH Daejeon-Chungnam Regional Headquarters on the 24th, LH disclosed the list of applicants eligible to submit documents for the preliminary recruitment of national rental housing residents for blocks 7 and 15 in the Tangjeong 2 district of Asan, Chungcheongnam-do around 7 p.m. the previous day.

During this process, the staff member mistakenly uploaded a file containing the names, mobile phone numbers, application rankings, and scoring details of the applicants. LH recognized the leak about two hours later and deleted the file.

The affected customers received text messages from LH on that day and became aware of the personal information leak. The victims expressed concern that the leaked personal information file could be accessed by anyone through the application website, leading to significant harm.

An LH official noted, "As soon as we recognized the personal information leak incident, we took measures to delete the leaked information," adding, "In accordance with our personal information incident response manual, we notified the information subjects of the leak." The official further stated, "We plan to investigate the circumstances, causes, and relevant parties of the leak according to procedures and also develop plans for damage relief related to personal information leakage and preventive measures against recurrence."
