DL E&C announced on the 24th that it will conduct a worker safety reporting system activation campaign throughout April. During this period, workers who participate in the safety reporting activities will receive points that can be used like cash, double the amount compared to what was previously given.

April is a time when construction site work intensifies, leading to an increase in on-site workers and a higher likelihood of safety accidents. The Ministry of Employment and Labor has also declared April as a key management period for the construction industry, strengthening monitoring and supervision.

DL E&C is also conducting emergency safety inspections for similar construction sites related to recent serious accidents at construction sites. In particular, it is reviewing the corporate safety manual to prepare for safety accidents such as fires, collapses, and sinkholes, which have become social issues. Additionally, it is conducting the safety reporting system activation campaign to maximize accident prevention and improvement effects while expanding workers' participation in safety activities.

During the campaign period, workers participating in the DL E&C safety reporting system activities can accumulate up to 10,000 "D-safe Coins" per day, which is double the previous amount. The D-safe Coin is a point awarded to on-site workers who report safety-related issues or suggest improvements. Accumulating 10,000 D-safe Coins can be exchanged for 10,000 won via Kakao Pay money and used like cash at shopping malls, cafes, and convenience stores.

DL E&C expects that enhancing the safety reporting system will help prevent safety accidents. The safety reporting system is a system that enables workers to report dangerous elements at the site or suggest improvements, introduced in 2020. Since last year, efforts have been made to expand worker participation through activation campaigns and incentives. The preventive effects of accidents due to this have also been clearly evident. DL E&C stated that the number of workers exercising their right to stop work and the number of danger reports increased by about 645% from 2023 to 2024, while industrial accidents decreased by approximately 30%.

A DL E&C official noted, "Workers' participation in the safety reporting system is making a significant contribution to actual accident prevention," adding, "Through this campaign, we expect the safety awareness and proactive participation of workers to expand further, allowing for the removal of hazardous factors at the site and suppression of accidents before they occur."
