Samsung C&T's construction division announced on the 13th that it will hold the promising startup recruitment competition '2025 FutureScape.'
'2025 FutureScape' is a program aimed at discovering startups with outstanding innovative technologies and ideas, providing market validation opportunities and supporting scale-up through business partnerships. It will also be co-hosted this year with the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, a government agency supporting small businesses in Seoul.
This program will expand into two tracks: a proof of concept (PoC) track, which conducts business verification based on collaboration with Samsung C&T, and a future track that supports the value-up of early-stage startups with potential for future collaboration.
The recruitment areas include ▲ smart multi-family housing ▲ wellness solutions ▲ senior services ▲ climate response solutions ▲ next-generation edutech ▲ construction innovation technologies ▲ and open topics.
Any startup established for less than 10 years with innovative ideas and technologies can participate. Applications can be submitted online from the 14th to the 6th of the following month through the 2025 FutureScape registration website. A selection process will be conducted, considering comprehensive factors such as document evaluation and presentation evaluation, to finally select around 12 startups.
Selected startups will receive support including ▲ service and business model verification ▲ joint technology development ▲ business cooperation opportunities ▲ and up to 45 million won in commercialization funding.
Hyung Si-won, head of the DxP business strategy team at Samsung C&T, noted, "Collaboration with startups that possess innovative technologies and ideas is essential to respond to the rapidly changing market," and added, "Through open innovation, we will create new growth engines that go beyond the existing business of Samsung C&T and the boundaries of the construction industry."
Previously, Samsung C&T selected six IT and platform-based specialized startups last year to support business-specific PoCs for four months, utilizing existing construction complexes such as Raemian One Bailey and Lucentia, and also organized a session to share performance with specialized investment institutions.
