The development project for the CJ factory site in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, with a total project cost of 6 trillion won, has begun construction.
The project promoter, Inchang Development, noted on the 9th that it has officially started construction after submitting the construction commencement notification with the contractor Hyundai E&C last month. It has been five years since the Inchang Development and Hyundai E&C consortium acquired ownership of the CJ factory site in 2020.
The Gayang-dong CJ factory site development project is aimed at creating a mixed-use facility approximately 1.7 times larger than COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (total floor area of 460,000 square meters). The site, covering 93,683 square meters, will be divided into three blocks, resulting in a mixed-use facility with 7 basement floors and 14 above-ground floors, covering a total area of 764,382 square meters.
Block 1 will include a mixed-use and retail facility with 7 basement floors and 11 above-ground floors. Blocks 2 and 3 will feature a knowledge industry center and community, cultural, and assembly facilities with 5 basement floors and 14 above-ground floors.
The ratio of office facilities is 75%. The retail and community facility will include "Starfield Village." Upon completion, it is expected to be connected to Yangcheonhyanggyo Station on Subway Line 9 through an underground passage.
