SK Eco Plant announced on the 1st at the Fair Trade Day ceremony held at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (KBIZ) Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, that its compliance officer, Chung Jae-hoon, received the Presidential Citation.
Fair Trade Day was first established in 2002 to raise public awareness and promote corporate culture around voluntary compliance with fair trade norms. This year marks its 24th anniversary.
Chung received recognition for his contributions to promoting fair trade culture within SK Group and SK Eco Plant and enhancing compliance. He received high praise for actively promoting the implementation of the fair trade compliance program (CP) by reorganizing the operational framework, establishing step-by-step improvement plans, and conducting training.
SK Eco Plant is committed to spreading compliance awareness among its members. Considering the relevance to work and training targets, it has prepared 27 customized fair trade-related training courses. Various processes to prevent legal violations are also in place, including pre- and post-reporting systems for industry meetings and a technical data request management system.
Recently, SK Eco Plant achieved the distinction of being the first large corporation to receive the highest grade of 'AAA' for two consecutive years in the CP rating evaluation conducted by the Fair Trade Commission. Furthermore, it is contributing to the spread of CP culture based on its excellent CP operational capabilities. The CP rating evaluation is a system in which the Fair Trade Commission assesses and grants grades to a corporation's internal compliance system, which is self-established and operated to comply with fair trade-related regulations.
Chung noted, "This award is the result of the continuous efforts of SK Eco Plant members to establish a fair and transparent transaction culture," and added, "In the future, we will continue to spread CP culture and set an example for the industry."
