Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 21st that 32,000 people applied for regular supply in three blocks (A4, S5, S6) of the Goyang Changneung new town. The subscription competition rate reached a maximum of 410 to 1.
Results from the pre-application received on the 17th to 18th targeted at pre-application winners showed that about 73% of the pre-application winners applied.
A total of 61,000 units were available for regular supply, which attracted 32,451 applicants. Block A4 recorded a competition rate of 20 to 1, S5 block recorded 96 to 1, and S6 block recorded 63 to 1. The highest competition was in the S5 block type 84, reaching a rate of 410 to 1. This far exceeds the 165 to 1 competition rate recorded during the pre-application.
By block, A4 block type 55 attracted 5,768 applicants for 292 units. S5 block type 51 had 2,263 applicants for 74 units, type 59 received 6,784 applicants for 81 units, type 74 received 4,199 applicants for 32 units, and type 84 had 6,147 applicants for 15 units. In S6 block, type 59 attracted 4,366 applicants for 87 units, and type 74 had 2,924 applicants for 29 units.
Special supply also received 8,886 applicants for 154 units, recording an average competition rate of 58 to 1. In particular, S5 block type 84 saw 2,398 applicants for 11 units, resulting in a competition rate of 218 to 1. By type, newlywed couples attracted 2,493 applicants for 21 units, resulting in a competition rate of 119 to 1. First-time buyers had 3,674 applicants for 32 units, with a competition rate of 115 to 1. The special supply for newborns attracted 1,678 applicants for 40 units, and families with multiple children had 734 applicants for 21 units.
The Goyang Changneung public housing district is a third new town that will be developed over an area of 7.89 million square meters in Wonheung-dong, Dongsan-dong, and Yongdu-dong in Deogyang-gu, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. It has been evaluated for its excellent accessibility to Seoul and its outstanding transport infrastructure, including the Gyeonggi-do Metropolitan Rapid Transit (GTX)-A line Changneung station (scheduled for 2030) and Goyang Eunpyeong Line (scheduled for 2031).
The announcement of the winners will be on the 6th of next month. Contract signing is scheduled for May.
