The Defence Acquisition Program Administration announced on the 23rd that it will operate a Korea Pavilion at the IDEF (International Defence Industry Fair) 2025 held in Istanbul, Turkey, from the 22nd to the 27th.
IDEF is a large-scale exhibition attended by defense companies from over 80 countries, including members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The Korea Pavilion will feature six domestic small and medium-sized defense companies participating in product promotion and export consultations. The Defence Acquisition Program Administration plans to promote Korean defense and support cooperation between Turkish and participating country officials and domestic small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Korea Pavilion is an exhibition that integrates the existing government public relations pavilion and the small- and medium-sized enterprise pavilion organized by the Korea Defense Industry Association. An integrated Korea Pavilion was also operated in the United Arab Emirates in February and in Malaysia in May. It is scheduled to be held in Poland in September and the United States in October.
Kim Tae-gon, Director General for International Cooperation of the Defence Acquisition Program Administration, said, “We will support the strengthening of export competitiveness for small and medium-sized defense companies by operating the Korea Pavilion.”
