Prime Minister Kim Min-seok will receive his appointment letter from President Lee Jae-myung at the presidential office in Yongsan on the morning of the 4th, and his first schedule will be to visit the farmers' groups protesting in front of the presidential office.

These groups have claimed that the 'Four Agricultural Laws' (Grain Management Act, Agricultural and Fishery Distribution and Price Stabilization Act, Agricultural Disaster Countermeasures Act, Agricultural Disaster Insurance Act), necessary for guaranteeing farmers' rights to survival, were labeled as the 'Four Agricultural Destruction Laws' by Minister Song Mi-ryeong of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and they have announced their intention to fight until Minister Song resigns.

Prime Minister Kim is expected to explain the background of President Lee's decision to retain Minister Song when he visits them and persuade them to suspend the protest.

In the afternoon, Prime Minister Kim will pay his respects at the National Cemetery in Seoul and will visit the National Assembly to meet with Speaker Woo Won-sik.

The National Assembly passed the confirmation motion for Prime Minister Kim the previous day. It has been 29 days since Kim was nominated for prime minister by President Lee. Approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes after the confirmation motion was passed by the National Assembly, President Lee signed the appointment.

Prime Minister Kim's inauguration ceremony is scheduled for next week.
