The Presidential Committee on Policy Planning analyzes similar pledges made by both parties during the presidential election and incorporates them into national policy tasks. Choi Seung-rae, the spokesperson for the Presidential Committee on Policy Planning, held a briefing at the annex of the Government Seoul Complex in Changseong-dong on the 2nd and noted, "As a result of analyzing the presidential pledges presented by both parties, it has been confirmed that a total of 116 pledges fully or partially align."
He emphasized, "After analyzing the policy pledge document sent by the People Power Party to the Presidential Committee on Policy Planning, we have completed the first round of sorting. The common pledges will be reflected in national policy tasks and will be promoted through collaboration."
The common pledges have been distilled into the following areas: ▲ Strengthening investment in next-generation advanced technology development ▲ Efforts to establish AI infrastructure ▲ Alleviating the financial burden on small businesses ▲ Creating an innovative ecosystem for advanced strategic industries ▲ Fostering the venture investment market ▲ Improving the service conditions for military personnel.
Lee Han-joo, the chairperson of the Presidential Committee on Policy Planning, met with the leadership of the Rebuilding Korea Party on that day and received a policy proposal. The spokesperson explained that this proposal will also be utilized in the development of a collaborative governance model by the Presidential Committee on Policy Planning.
Regarding the organizational restructuring being envisioned by the Presidential Committee on Policy Planning, it was said, "Isn't the direction of the pledge not clear in terms of separating the budget functions at the Ministry of Economy and Finance or in relation to the separation of the investigative and prosecutorial functions of the prosecution?" He added, "There are various options for solidifying methodologies, and discussions are ongoing. There is nothing definitive I can share on this matter."
