The Democratic Party of Korea noted on the 28th regarding former President Yoon Suk-yeol's attendance at the special investigation for insurrection, "Today's attendance cannot be absolution; it is merely the starting point for uncovering the truth."

Baek Seung-a, the floor spokesperson, stated through a commentary that "if the truth is concealed again and responsibility is evaded, public anger will intensify, and judgment cannot be avoided."

Spokesperson Baek remarked, "Yoon Suk-yeol finally attended the investigation today after scheming like a legal trickster, but this is not a voluntary decision to reveal the substantive truth; rather, he was reluctantly compelled by public anger and strong opinion." He added, "Until now, Yoon Suk-yeol has evaded responsibility with nearly delusional distortions and false explanations, exhibiting a shameful behavior aimed at escaping the eyes and ears of the public."

He further claimed, "Yoon Suk-yeol previously said, 'Those who refuse the special investigation are the culprits,' yet he himself exercised his presidential veto to protect Kim Keon-hee and his family from the introduction of the special investigation and mobilized power to block the truth, which is akin to confessing that he is the culprit."

Additionally, he stated, "The special investigation must thoroughly investigate allegations of insurrection and power-related corruption, and Yoon Suk-yeol must kneel and apologize before history and the public, and bear appropriate legal responsibility, as this is the minimum morality owed to the public and the way to restore justice and the rule of law."
