Spokesperson Ham In-kyung of the People Power Party said, “I strongly demand the withdrawal of the nomination of Prime Minister candidate Kim Min-seok,” and noted, “Withdrawing the nomination of an unqualified candidate is a natural responsibility, and the moment that responsibility is neglected, the morality and practicality of Lee Jae-myung's government will all collapse,” on the 28th.
Spokesperson Ham noted in a commentary that “there was no explanation that the public could accept during this personnel hearing for candidate Kim,” and said this.
Spokesperson Ham said, “The hearing has become chaotic as there was no submission of materials despite creating a dark hearing without any witnesses or informants,” and added, “There was also no clear explanation regarding the suspicious flow of funds such as living expenses and study abroad expenses. Instead, only ‘cabbage’ was left at an inappropriate time.
He pointed out that “Candidate Kim answered that the government debt ratio was 20-30%, close to 50%, and he could not properly respond even to the scale of this year's national budget,” and asked, “Does a candidate who has not worked to earn money and does not even know the government debt ratio or the scale of the national budget have the qualities to overcome the livelihood crisis?
He added that “the report stating that the president responded to the opposition party’s acting chairman with ‘Do you think nothing will come out if we shake it?’ is even more shocking,” and mentioned, “There were also indications that he tried to dismiss the opposition’s concerns by stating that the approval rating exceeded 50%.
