Im Kwang-hyun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, was nominated as the Commissioner of the National Tax Service on the 26th, and his proportional representative seat has been succeeded by Lee Ju-hee, a lawyer (No. 17 on the Democratic Party of Korea's proportional representative list, Dasan Law Group, age 47).
Lee Ju-hee ran twice as a proportional representative candidate for the Democratic Labor Party in 2004 and 2008 (No. 9 and No. 5, respectively) but lost. She managed to enter the National Assembly on her third attempt.
After graduating from the Earth Science Education Department at Seoul National University's College of Education, she completed her master's degree in law at Hanyang University Law School. While attending Seoul National University, she served as the student council president and was active in the Maehyang-ri Anti-American Farmer Protest and as the national student chairperson of the Democratic Labor Party, engaging early in progressive politics.
After passing the 7th bar exam, she entered the legal field. As a lawyer at Dasan Law Group, she has served on the Human Rights Committee of the Seoul Bar Association, and as the chairperson of the Subcommittee on Human Rights Violations, and has been actively engaged in civil society through organizations such as the Lawyers for a Democratic Society (Minbyeon) and the Citizens' Legislative Committee of the Solidarity for Economic Justice.
In 2021, she won a civil lawsuit against Garosero Research Institute as the representative of Jo Kuk, the former Minister of Justice, regarding the family of Jo Min, and has represented related parties in criminal cases, including allegations of sponsorship funds for Seongnam FC.
The Democratic Party Alliance is a proportional party formed by a coalition of the Democratic Party, the Progressive Party, and the New Progressive Alliance in last year's general election. After being allocated 14 seats, the succession according to the order has continued. Son Sol, the former spokesperson for the Progressive Party (No. 15), and Choi Hyuk-jin (No. 16), the former secretary for social economy at the Blue House under former President Moon Jae-in, have succeeded the proportional representative seats following We Seong-rak, who was recently appointed as the National Security Office head in the presidential office, and Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung.
