Chairperson Lee Jong-bae of the special committee for the personnel hearing for Prime Minister (Kim Min-seok) urged Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok to submit materials necessary for the hearing preparations again on the 23rd.

That day, Chairperson Lee issued a statement, noting, "The Prime Minister is the number two official overseeing national affairs. The nominee has the obligation to thoroughly clarify and explain various allegations to the public," emphasizing this point.

Chairperson Lee explained, "During schedule consultations among the party whips, it was agreed to faithfully provide information and submit materials," adding, "However, the submission rate for the requested materials (due by 4 p.m. on the 22nd) stands at only 25.6% as of now."

He added, "Some materials, such as financial transactions, can be submitted with the individual's consent under the Financial Real Name Act," noting that "the issue depends on whether the nominee intends to submit the materials."

Chairperson Lee urged, "The nominee has not yet submitted their thesis, scholarship receipt details, or immigration history," and emphasized, "With less than 24 hours until the personnel hearing, I hope the requested materials are diligently prepared and submitted to the National Assembly by 6 p.m. today (the 23rd)."

He also urged that all relevant agencies be asked to provide information and cooperate with the submission of materials.

While saying, "If not, as the chairperson of the personnel hearing committee, I will take all measures prescribed by law."

The personnel hearing for nominee Kim is scheduled for the 24th.
