Deputy Minister Wi Seong-lak reportedly emphasized the need for close communication and collaboration to minimize the impacts of a series of situations in the Middle East related to the U.S. strike on Iran's nuclear facilities on the security and economic conditions on the Korean Peninsula.

Spokesperson Kang Yu-jeong introduced the results of an emergency security and economic situation assessment meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Wi in the National Security Council (NSC) small meeting room on that day.

At this meeting, Deputy Minister Wi said, "It is important to protect the lives and safety of our citizens and to maintain a stable daily life."

The meeting was reportedly focused on discussing the current situation while assessing the impacts of the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities following the Israel-Iran conflict on security and the economy.

According to Spokesperson Kang, Deputy Minister Wi decided to continue monitoring developments related to this incident and to engage in further discussions.

In addition to Deputy Minister Wi, Kim Hyun-jong, the first deputy of the National Security Office, Lim Eun-soon, the second deputy, Oh Hyun-joo, the third deputy, Ha Jun-kyung, the senior economic growth secretary, and Song Gi-ho, the director of the National Security Situation Room, attended the meeting.
