On the 19th, People Power Party floor leader Song Eon-seok appointed re-elected lawmakers Yoo Sang-bum (operations) and Kim Eun-hye (policy) as the new floor deputy representatives. This created a 'two-deputy system' by dividing the previous one-person floor deputy representative system into operations and policy.
Yoo Sang-bum (Gangwon Hongcheon, Hoengseong, Yeongwol, Pyeongchang), the designated operations deputy representative, is a former prosecutor who has served as the party's chief spokesperson and a member of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
Kim Eun-hye (Gyeonggi Seongnam Bundang) designated as the policy deputy representative, is a former journalist who served as the senior public relations secretary in the previous administration's presidential office.
Floor leader Song noted in a press release that "Yoo has maintained principles while serving in key party positions and has shown reasonable criticism and a sense of policy balance," adding that he is "a strong politician trusted in the National Assembly and within the party."
Regarding Kim, he stated, "She has demonstrated excellent communication skills with the public," and noted that "as a re-elected lawmaker from the metropolitan area, she possesses both practical and reasonable livelihood policies, initiating and promoting many initiatives, demonstrating her policy planning and legislative capabilities."
The new floor spokesman will be first-term lawmakers Park Seong-hun (Busan Bukgu) and Choi Su-jin (proportional representative).
The floor deputy representative team includes eight members: Kwak Gyu-taek, Park Sang-woong, Seo Myeong-ok, Jo Seung-hwan, Jo Ji-yeon, Choi Eun-seok, Kang Seon-young, and Park Chung-kwon.
The head of the floor leader's secretariat is Park Su-min (Seoul Gangnam), who has served as the previous floor spokesman.
Floor leader Song said regarding this appointment, "Integration, communication, and policy expertise were the top priorities in our consideration." The appointments, including the deputy representative team announced that day, will be officially confirmed after a vote at a future assembly meeting.
