The Democratic Party of Korea plans to report the allegations of preferential hiring by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the daughter of Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jeong to the investigative agency on the 11th.

On the same day, Spokesperson Hwang Jeong-a said after the Supreme Council meeting, "We plan to file a complaint regarding the preferential hiring corruption of Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jeong's eldest daughter at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," adding, "The complaint will soon be filed with the evidence that has been revealed so far."

The individuals targeted for this complaint will include Prosecutor General Sim, Minister Cho Tae-yeol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the staff involved in the hiring process. Prosecutor General Sim's daughter has reportedly been excluded from the complaint.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson Hwang stated that they plan to swiftly push forward with the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act regarding suspending ongoing criminal trials when a president is elected.

Spokesperson Hwang noted, "Including 'recommendations for the three special prosecutors,' we aim to handle the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act and the 'three broadcasting laws' this week, and will process them swiftly when the next plenary session is held."

Spokesperson Hwang said, "We need to reach an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties, and coordinate with the Speaker of the National Assembly, so the next week's plenary session is not yet confirmed," adding, "We don’t know when the next session will resume, but preparations are being made (by the party)."
