Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party, said on the 9th, “Chairman Kim Yong-tae emphasized the need for reform and mentioned the schedule for the national convention, but before that, it is necessary to clearly state his position.”

On the same day, Ahn noted through social media, “While talking about the September national convention, if the resignation timing is not clearly defined, it could lead to unnecessary confusion and misunderstandings.”

Ahn stated, “We need to clarify how long the current emergency committee chair will serve, as this will determine whether the new floor leader will support the chair or serve concurrently, and will allow us to systematically push forward the national convention schedule. This is essential for practical discussions about the party's future direction. It is both the order and common sense.”

Ahn continued, “A thorough analysis of the election defeat is urgently needed. We must accurately analyze the shortcomings by class, region, and generation,” adding, “Without a cold analysis of why and how we lost voter trust, we can only repeat the same mistakes.”

Ahn further emphasized, “First, there must be sincere reflection; second, self-examination and analysis; and third, there must be a concrete roadmap for reform. We must take the first steps toward substantial innovation. Only then will the public begin to look at us again.”
