Park Chan-dae, acting representative and floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 5th regarding the claim that there were no staff left to hand over to the presidential office on the first day of the Lee Jae-myung administration, "The Democratic Party of Korea will never sit idly by, and those who issued such instructions will be held accountable."

Acting Representative Park stated at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, "The previous administration left offices like graves, reportedly without staff to hand operations over to, and devoid of computers, printers, or even writing tools."

He noted, "This behavior clearly obstructed the launch of a new administration that should have immediately commenced operations without a Transition Committee," adding that "Regular civil servants dispatched for the election returned to their respective ministries, and special civil servants resigned and disappeared without a word."

He continued, "In urgent need, the staff of the Lee Jae-myung administration who went to receive the transition briefing early in the morning had to wait idly in an auditorium for half the day," and expressed, "During the election countermeasure committee meeting on May 19, I clearly warned against creating an 'empty can presidential office' with document destruction and the order for all public officials to return by June 4. I indicated this as a criminal act and asserted that responsibility would be pursued."

Addressing public officials, he said, "Now is the golden time to overcome the failures of the previous administration. It is a time to focus all efforts on overcoming the disorder and normalizing Korea," urging, "I hope everyone can come together and actively cooperate."

Acting Representative Park said, "The Democratic Party is now the ruling party sharing joint responsibility for national governance. As a community of fate with the Lee Jae-myung administration, we will carry a heavier and more solemn sense of responsibility, pride, and mission," and promised, "We will robustly support the successful administration of Lee Jae-myung by handling reform bills and preparing economic activation measures that resonate with the people."

He also revealed intention to handle the special prosecutor bills on rebellion, Kim Keon-hee, and the investigation into a marine soldier, as well as the Prosecutor Disciplinary Act, at the National Assembly plenary meeting scheduled for the afternoon. Acting Representative Park declared, "In honoring the mandate from the citizens, we will methodically fulfill the Democratic Party's duties for the normalization of Korea," adding that "The rebellion special prosecutor bill will swiftly alleviate public anxiety and sternly punish the insurrectionists who have undermined Korea's constitutional order."

He further stated, "The Kim Keon-hee special prosecutor bill will meticulously uncover the true nature of the Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Keon-hee state affairs manipulation, and will restore fallen justice and law and order," and added, "The special prosecutor bill for the marine soldier will thoroughly investigate the conspiracy of investigative pressure hidden behind the unjust death of a young marine. We will also process the Prosecutor Disciplinary Act today to restore trust in the prosecution that has fallen to the ground."
