The National Election Commission announced that as of 12:28 a.m. on the 4th, the nationwide counting rate for the 21st presidential election was recorded at 60.03%.

The vote share by candidate was Lee Jae-myung from the Democratic Party of Korea at 48.83%, Kim Moon-soo from the People Power Party at 42.74%, and Lee Jun-seok from the Reform Party at 7.38%.

The exit poll results from the three major terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) predicted the nationwide vote shares as Lee Jae-myung 51.7%, Kim Moon-soo 39.3%, and Lee Jun-seok 7.7%.

The broadcasters reported around 11:40 p.m. the previous day that candidate Lee was "definitely elected."

Official voting for the 21st presidential election ended at 8 p.m. the previous day. The nationwide voter turnout was recorded at 79.4%.
