The National Election Commission announced that as of 1:20 p.m. on 4th, the day after the 21st presidential election, the nationwide vote counting rate was recorded at 80.08%.
The vote percentages for candidates were Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea at 48.37%, Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party at 42.93%, and Lee Jun-seok of the Reform Party at 7.64%.
According to exit polls from the three major terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) the previous day, the nationwide predicted vote percentages were Lee Jae-myung at 51.7%, Kim Moon-soo at 39.3%, and Lee Jun-seok at 7.7%.
The broadcasters reported around 11:40 p.m. the previous day that Lee was "definitely elected."
Official voting for the 21st presidential election ended at 8 p.m. the previous day. The nationwide voter turnout was recorded at 79.4%.
