In the June 3 presidential election, the voting preferences varied by generation. According to a detailed analysis of the exit poll results conducted by KBS, MBC, and SBS, Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea received the most votes from voters in their 20s to 50s, while Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party received a significant number of votes from voters in their 60s and those aged 70 and over.
According to the detailed analysis of the SBS exit poll, 41.3% of voters under 20 supported Lee Jae-myung, while 30.9% voted for Kim Moon-soo. Lee Jun-seok of the Reform Party also received 24.3% of the votes.
Among voters in their 30s, 47.6% supported Lee Jae-myung, while 32.7% supported Kim Moon-soo. Lee Jun-seok received 17.7% of the votes.
In their 40s, Lee Jae-myung received overwhelming support at 72.7%. Kim Moon-soo managed only 22.2%. In their 50s, Lee Jae-myung is expected to receive 69.8% of the votes, while Kim Moon-soo is anticipated to receive 25.9%.
In their 60s, Kim Moon-soo surpassed Lee Jae-myung with 48.9% to Lee's 48.0%.
Among those aged 70 and over, Kim Moon-soo received 64%, while Lee Jae-myung garnered 34.0% of the votes.
The exit poll on that day was conducted by the Association of Broadcasters and the three major terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, and SBS) through the 'Joint Prediction Survey Committee (KEP)' at 325 polling stations nationwide, targeting 80,146 voters. The margin of error for this exit poll is ±0.8 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
