The National Election Commission announced that as of 11:13 p.m. on the day of the 21st presidential election, the nationwide ballot counting rate was 30.01%.

The vote percentages for the candidates are Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea 48.27%, Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party 43.47%, and Lee Jun-seok of the Reform Party 7.22%.

The ballot counting rates in the metropolitan area were reported as follows: Gyeonggi 28.49%, Incheon 16.53%, and Seoul 23.12%.

On this day, according to the exit poll results from three major broadcasting companies (KBS, MBC, SBS), the national vote percentages were predicted to be Lee Jae-myung 51.7%, Kim Moon-soo 39.3%, and Lee Jun-seok 7.7%.

The official voting for the 21st presidential election ended at 8 p.m. that day. The nationwide voter turnout was recorded at 79.4%.
