Kim Yong-tae, the head of the emergency committee of the People Power Party, criticized on the 2nd, saying, "Lee Jae-myung (the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate) appeared on Kim Eo-jun's YouTube and said that the Supreme Court's decision had changed," adding, "The person abusing the Constitution confessed a crime."

Earlier, candidate Lee Jae-myung spoke on the YouTube show "Kim Eo-jun's Humble is Hard Work" about the appeal regarding his violation of the Public Official Election Act, stating, "Although the Supreme Court's decision does not come directly to me, there is some communication," adding, "From what I've heard, the view was to 'let's wrap this up quickly and neatly dismiss the charges of violating the election law.'"

Kim, the head of the emergency committee, held an urgent press conference in front of Busan Station, Dong-gu, Busan, on the afternoon of the same day, stating, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung said he was thankful when he thought the Supreme Court decision would be dismissed, but was baffled when it was returned for a guilty retrial, claiming he heard of the internal sentiment of the Supreme Court prior to the decision."

Kim, the head of the emergency committee, stated, "The politician known as Lee Jae-myung sees the judiciary not as a decision-making body, but merely as a political partner capable of cooperation," adding, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung's remarks are not a slip of the tongue. It is a deliberate perception, viewing the Supreme Court as a subcontractor for politics."

Kim, the head of the emergency committee, also stated, "(Lee Jae-myung) believes he can politically negotiate his trial," calling it "judicial manipulation." He continued, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung must now reveal to the public who provided him with internal Supreme Court information."

Kim, the head of the emergency committee, explained regarding Yoon Sang-hyun, a lawmaker from the People Power Party, that "the decision regarding the expulsion of the lawmaker is not something for the head of the emergency committee to determine." Lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun opposes the leadership of the People Power Party invalidating the 'opposition to impeachment' party policy, causing conflict with Yang Hyang-ja, co-election committee leader of the People Power Party, among others.

Kim, the head of the emergency committee, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "The Democratic Party is arrogant," and added, "They think only of things like amending various election laws for candidate Lee Jae-myung's protection." He further stated, "I urge many citizens to go to the polls tomorrow and vote for the dissolution of candidate Lee Jae-myung."

The Democratic Party of Korea is reportedly planning to propose and process an amendment to the Public Official Election Act to delete the 'act' from the conditions for false information declaration as early as the 5th, after the presidential election. In political circles, there is criticism that if candidate Lee Jae-myung is elected, the Democratic Party of Korea might be taking preemptive measures to defend against issues related to his trial.
