Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate, noted on the 2nd regarding the amendment to the Commercial Act, "(After inauguration) it will be processed within two to three weeks."

Candidate Lee appeared on the YouTube channel "Hankyoreh TV" that day, stating, "Since it already passed once in the National Assembly, it should be further reinforced and applied more strongly."

Furthermore, Candidate Lee said, "(The president) must not exercise the veto. (Then it will) take less than a month to handle it after taking office." He added, "Are major shareholders not exploiting management rights, extracting the core through stock partitioning and re-listing? There's no such country. The amendment to the Commercial Act can prevent this."

Candidate Lee argued that issues such as insider trading or stock manipulation could be adequately resolved. He noted, "The unfairness and opacity of the market are problems," adding, "A president's single word and determination can adequately solve it. For instance, 'From now on, insider trading in the stock market will be punished with the maximum penalty.' It's possible to ensure it with firmness."

He further added, "The stock market will recover significantly even with a few easy and strong measures of low resistance," emphasizing, "This will also aid the domestic economy."

Regarding the Emergency Economic Response Task Force (TF) that Candidate Lee pledged to launch immediately after winning, he stated, "We must quickly gather the operational units to promptly determine short-, mid-, and long-term actions necessary to overcome the current challenges," adding, "The president should directly oversee and swiftly manage the operations."

Meanwhile, regarding concerns of political retaliation raised by some, Candidate Lee dismissed them by saying, "Not only do I not enjoy revenge, but I also aim to achieve results to gain support and wish to live as a respected citizen and neighbor even after leaving office," emphasizing, "That is an unnecessary worry and a baseless fear."

He also said, "Do not worry. We are not such petty people."
