Former President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 31st appealed for support for Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, through a rally organized by pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church.
Lee Dong-ho, former vice president of the Yeouido Institute, delivered Yoon's message at a 'Korean Patriotic Restoration Movement Headquarters' rally led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, that day.
In Yoon's appeal letter, he noted, "This country is in a critical crisis," and urged, "To protect this country's liberal democracy and normalize the nation, please go to the polls on June 3 and support candidate Kim Moon-soo."
He continued, "If we miss this opportunity, it may cost a tremendous amount of time and sacrifice, and it could become impossible to restore liberal democracy and a normal state."
Prior to this, on the 17th, former President Yoon also appealed for support for Kim when leaving the People Power Party.
Regarding this, candidate Lee Jae-myung met with reporters after a campaign in Cheongju and noted, "This clearly shows that Kim Moon-soo is a candidate receiving support from the treason leader and far-right figures."
Candidate Lee said, "When asked whether he would cut ties with far-right Jeon Kwang-hoon and treason leader Yoon Suk-yeol, he still can't answer," adding, "The public should see through the essence of candidate Kim. Please remember that Kim's election means the return of sovereign Yoon Suk-yeol and Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, the asphalt pastor."
