On the same day, the candidate appeared on KBS Radio's 'Jung Kwan-yong's Current Affairs Headquarters' and said in response to a question, 'If elected president, would you engage in dialogue with the opposition party on the first day of your term?' that 'It's not possible to say I won’t meet with the opposition.'

The candidate noted, 'The inaugural ceremony will probably be held at the National Assembly, and from both an efficiency and symbolic standpoint, what you mentioned makes quite a bit of sense.'

However, the candidate asserted that lawmakers from the People Power Party, who are responsible for the martial law situation, must be thoroughly investigated.

He stated, 'It is a historical crime to completely destroy Korea's constitutional order, point a gun at the people, and effectively dissolve the National Assembly to create a temporary legislative body,' adding that 'to turn a blind eye for political rivalry is elementary justice. We must distinguish between patching things up and true integration.'

'Regarding the 'criticism of judicial control,' he remarked, 'I have no intention of doing that at all.'

The candidate replied, 'The judiciary is merely independent from legislative and executive powers, but is not independent from the people's sovereignty, justice, and the constitution,' stating that 'the criticism of judicial control frames the intention to restore these aspects.'

The candidate also mentioned that the Supreme Court's unusually swift handling of his election law violation case indicated 'clear political intervention.'

He said, 'Most judges within the court, excluding Supreme Court justices, want an increase in the number of judges. Claiming this is judicial oppression is excessive,' adding, 'However, because of such misunderstandings, it has been put on hold. Currently, restoring people's livelihoods and the economy is the top priority.'

He also emphasized that if elected president, he would immediately initiate the drafting of a supplementary budget. However, he stated that the scale and target of the livelihood support policy would be determined based on the financial situation.

The candidate remarked, 'When focusing on stimulating consumption, excluding those who pay high taxes is reverse discrimination,' and added, 'Income support policies and consumption stimulation policies should be mixed together.'

Regarding the selection of the government cabinet, he stated, 'The key virtues of major government ministers must include capability and loyalty to the people,' suggesting that 'loyalty should be prioritized, and various elements such as national unity and communication should also be reflected.'
