Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, expressed his feelings on the comments made by former Roh Moo-hyun Foundation chairman Yoo Si-min regarding his spouse, Seol Nan-young, on the 30th, stating it is "to create and judge class in our society based on academic background" and added that he finds it "sad and regrettable."

On the same day, after a campaign rally at Culture Street in Jecheon, Chungbuk, Kim criticized, "The type of talk that Mr. Yoo Si-min speaks of is truly to completely create class based on academic background and to judge people as a new class."

He noted that when he was imprisoned for labor activism at the Guro Industrial Complex, Yoo's sister was also an accomplice, and after recounting his experience of competing against Yoo in a previous gubernatorial election, he said, "(Yoo) knows me very well. He also knows my wife," and expressed his disappointment with, "Is it acceptable to do politics in a state of insanity while hearing such words from (Yoo)?"

He continued, "Mr. Yoo said that there is something wrong with my frontal lobe. However, I have undergone many health check-ups and have never had any issues. I don't know if he considers himself a psychiatrist or a neuroscientist, but how can he make such careless remarks?" adding, "I don't think politics is about destroying oneself with words and damaging others. It is truly a sad and regrettable situation."

The Democratic Party of Korea countered the proposal for disciplinary action against Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok, who made misogynistic comments concerning the issue involving the son of candidate Lee Jae-myung during the recent third presidential television debate.

Kim pointed out, "The most problematic person among current lawmakers is Representative Lee Jae-myung," adding that, "He claims that all the charges related to his trials were fabricated by the prosecutors, and he talks about impeaching the Chief Justice who ruled against him, demanding a special investigation, and holding public hearings. Isn't that what makes Korea a monstrous nation? Isn't that truly disqualifying for a member of the National Assembly?" He then stated, "This is a matter for the public to judge."

He also remarked, "Talking about a speck on someone else while ignoring a beam in one's own eye is akin to being unaware. He pointed out that the New Future Democratic Party's Lee Nak-yon's plea, who declared his support for him, must be heeded while criticizing the recent one-party system of the Democratic Party of Korea.

Regarding the controversy over poor management of the election during the early voting process, he strongly criticized, "The Election Commission must truly undergo a major awakening and innovation."

Kim stated, "There have been many controversies regarding early voting thus far. Incidents like the ‘sieve voting’ have occurred frequently, and it is preposterous that the Election Commission has not yet corrected this. If you receive a ballot and walk around eating, mark it, and drop it somewhere else, can that be considered voting?" He remarked, "The act of voting taking place outside the voting area is something that would not happen in any voting system worldwide. There are too many shortcomings in the management of voting and too many points that need fixing. This continuously increases distrust in the election, which will in turn grow the distrust in our democracy itself."

He further criticized, "Democracy places great importance on fair procedures rather than results, and when that procedure is not strictly adhered to, isn't it difficult to accept the outcome itself? It is increasingly becoming evident who is putting democracy in Korea at risk."
