Shinji, a member of the group Koyote, expressed discomfort with a social media post attempting to politically use her past photos ahead of the presidential election.

On the 27th, an online user uploaded a photo on their social media with the caption, “Shinji candidate number 2, united solely for the country and the nation. Victory. People’s President Kim Moon-soo fighting.”

The photo features a man smiling with Shinji. Shinji made a V-sign with her fingers. This pose was interpreted as the number ‘2’, indicating that Shinji supports Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate.

In response, Shinji warned, “What year is this photo from?” and added, “I think this was taken after an event without any political intent. If you use it, I will report it to the company, and legal action will follow. Please take down the photo.”

Shinji said, “Such incidents happen frequently, and the agency may overlook them. This is not the agency’s fault but one individual’s mistake. Please do not blame the agency,” and added, “It seems that the law is not strong enough for such incidents to continue, and it’s too unfair to keep suffering just because I am a celebrity, so I plan to take action this time.”
